With the end of many sports and the beginning for others, this week is jam-packed with sports excitement. Last weekend the SAA swim team attended the state meet where the boys relay race got second in state, led by member Aiden Hintz, Alden Kidane, Nick Van, Aaron Seymore. On Friday the boys and girls soccer team faced up against Glynn Academy, where the boys managed to draw 3-3, but the girls took an unfortunate hit and loss. The SAA track team had their first meet and some individuals soared; sophomore Brett Ford ran a 800 meter in 2:13. Overall, the meet was a great start to what looks to be a great season. As the season is coming to a close for wrestling, they had their regional individual tournament, marking an end to a great season.
In the upcoming week, tennis will look to win their first match this season versus South East Bulloch on Thursday. Girls soccer will challenge Calvary on Tuesday, along with the boys on Thursday versus Camden County. This is what is up and coming this week in SAA sports.
