On Friday March, 1st the communication Arts Department is doing a double feature of “Shaolin Soccer” and “ The Legend of Drunken Master”. As you can tell, the theme of the night is Kung-Fu (queue Kung-fu fighting; Carl Douglas). I asked some students why they are interested in this event, here are the responses. “ It’s always silly, fun, and something to do with friends that is low budget”-Sophomore Hadrian Harrison. Another candid response comes from Willem Ballard,” It’ll make me feel like a ninja witch is all I’ve ever wanted”.
I also asked what the next theme should be. Hadrian thinks that “Something nostalgic like high school musical that people grew up with and love,” will surely bring in a crowd of people. The past movie night was a Christmas theme that featured The Nightmare Before Christmas and Elf. The tickets are $10 at the door and $8 online as seatyourself.biz/saa. It starts at 6:00 and will end at 9:30. Come out and support the Communication Arts Departments with “Kung-Fu Night”!
