Sarah Katherine Bass, another member of the blog, is this week’s student spotlight. Sarah Katherine is a sophomore theatre major who joined the blog to fulfill her love for writing. Sarah admitted that she has always wanted to start her own blog, but just hasn’t gotten around to it. She said that joining the Update would give her another way to be involved with school, and the opportunity to do something she has always wanted to do.
More about Sarah Katherine:
What do you enjoy doing in your free time?
“Honestly I’m kinda lazy, but I’m trying to get better about it. I like watching Netflix and more recently I’ve gotten into mock trial. I am loving it!!”
What is your favorite subject and why?
“I actually like chemistry a lot laughs it’s surprising, I know. I think pretty logically and I enjoy the logic that is involved in chemistry.”
What is your favorite thing about SAA?
“I like the people! I came from a tiny private school, and I enjoy being in a school with so many people that are so different! Everyone is unique and I really like that.”
What extracurriculars are you involved in and why do you like them/ joined them?
I did mock trial for the first time this year because I want to pursue a career in law. I also am in International Club, Christian Fellowship Club, and now the Student Blog!
If you had to spend the day with one teacher at saa, who would it be?
“I would probably pick Mrs. Mustafa! I hated math until I took her class and she is definitely my favorite teacher I’ve ever had! She is so positive and really funny and I think everyone should try to get to know her!!”
If you could spread one message to the world, what would it be?
“Be kind to everyone!! Life is so much better when you are positive and kind! We are all in this together; it’s a bit cliche I know.”
